Mellow creature in her day
Ere long hither shall lay,
Asleep, pale, quiet, stark -
Lowly burrow in the dark.

a girl in a garden
a hardening heart
and a Winter's kiss
Salt in her bones
and the faltering
song of a mother's voice
resounding on stone
It's a thin tune
thin as new ice
and twice as cold
She curses the moon

I ask only that you write in "singsong"... It doesn't have to rhyme, although rhyming is good.
And you certainly don't have to stick with the same poem structure that I did. Do crazy things. Be creative."
