Living for ever

Isn't too clever,

Except for the Creator

But I would not slate her.

Imagine the ennui

If, our friends all gone, we

Have to stay behind

Going out of our minds.

I'd rather be mortal;

Leave this earthly portal

For afterlife unknown

I hope, not on our own.
