Sudden Death

I died so unexpectedly,

A death you might term "feline",

All because  I thought a tiger

Was a puddy cat of mine.

The tiger looked so safe and tame,

When she looked me in the eye,

She smiled, she purred, she winked at me,

She invited me for pie.

The tiger made us both some tea,

I think it was Earl Grey,

She brought us tarts and nectarines,

All so tasty I must say.

And then we had some brandy,

In the tiger's den.

But before I got to drink my last,

I met my sudden end.
