Get Out, Get Away - Jerry

I was terrified, and my thoughts swirled in a dark cloud in my mind. My sanity was quickly evaporating into the cold, wet morning air of London. One phrase ran through my head again and again.
"GET OUT, GET AWAY. GET OUT, GET AWAY."
Tears ran freely down our faces as we embraced and took our separate ways.
My voice breaking, I shouted farewells to the others, and ran down the road with Ellie.
We ran as hard as we could with our suitcases.
It was about six in the morning and it was bitterly cold. Our breath steamed and swirled around our faces as we pounded the street with our feet.
Why did this have to happen to us?
