I was walking gown the street, and saw police vans, ambulances and news broadcast trucks in front of Jerry's house. "No. No no no no no NO! JERRY!!!" I screamed, running through, pushing past. Jerry was sat on the edge of an ambulance, shaking. A policeman was questioning him. I pushed through, pushing the policeman out of the way. Jerry looked up, and excepted my tight embrace gratefully.
"Jerry, what happened?" He pointed at the house. I pushed through, seeing the bloody kitchen. I grimaced, the scent f blood all too familiar to me. The most commotion was from the garden. I pushed to the front, before running back inside. I began to climb the stairs, to check if their belongings had been tapered. A soft, tinkling music came out. I screamed. A policeman came up. He took a firm hold of me, and listened. I opened his bedroom door, and the first thing I saw was a clean note written there.
Jerry, Ethan, Ellie, Jade. Almost over now. Not quite yet though.
I took the note, running from the room. I gave it to Jerry. I took his phone from his shaking hands, and dialed.
"Jade, why have you-"
"No time. Have you seen the news?"
"You might want to get to Jerry's as soon as you can."
"Just...please. He won't be able to cope." I felt myself beginning to cry. Even through the noise, I could still hear the music that played out from Jerry's room.
Ring around the rosies, a pocket full of posies, atishoo, atishoo, we all fall down...
