Dead Man Down

Tragedy falls near a bitter end

Communication with an old friend

Sitting beside me was a cold dark man

He had evil but no fear in his eyes

One man screams as he can’t believe his eyes

One man screams like babies cries

Streams of red and pools on the floor

People are running towards the door.

Door slams shut but not quite right

Waving fear into the cracks

We gave a scream and with all our might

We kept that bastard inside

When I close my eyes, I will forever see

That blank face staring right back at me

Held by the hair, waving, silent cries

What’s going on in his mind?

Happening so fast before my trained eye

How can we watch a young man die?

Running away with tears from this clown

We’ve let this dead man down.
