Days of Summer.

"Sophie!" My mother shouted from the kitchen, "There's a letter here. It's adressed to you."
My blood froze in my veins. The letter from West Wood Music School. I've been waiting for this to arrive for weeks. What if I don't get in? What if my application wasn't good enough?
"Sophie! Get down here, now!"
I didn't need telling twice. I jumped off of my bed as quickly as I could without tumbling over. Racing down the stairs, one word circled around my mind continuously.
Please. Please. Please. Please.
I walked into the living room to see my mother, her arms were crossed over her chest, and he foot was tapping impatiently against the hard wood floor as a tut escaped her mouth. My shoulders slumped. I knew what she was going to say before the words left her mouth.
"Don't slouch, Sophie, dear." She said, critizing as usual. That's what she was best at - judging people.
"Yes, mother." The words left my mouth followed by a very audible sigh, which made her narrow my eyes at me until I was standing perfectly straight.
Her frail hand reached out, passing the finely written letter into my usually delicate grasp. Temptaion flooded through my viens, wanting to rip the envelope open and reveal the future inside, but also not wanting to give my mother another reason to critizise my actions.
My finger slid under the opening seal and flicked it open. My anxiety grew with each passing second as my fingers finally closed around the letter that determined my future. West Wood Music School was very prestigeous, and could help me with my dream of being a musician. If I didn't get in, all I would have is nothing but luck.
Almost half of the page was taken up by the large logo that belonged to West Wood. Underneath was the letter. Slowly and hesitantly, I began to read the letter I held in my shaking hands.
