Daylight Fading
To Dawn,
Goodbye, I'll miss you. Come back someday.
From Minta.
I put the farewell card back down and stared out of the window. The trees whizzed past, so the view was just a green blur. It made me feel sick. I groaned and buried my face in my hands. I swore to myself that I would never go on a train again unless it was a dire emergency. The door to the compartment opened, the wheels squeaking, and in came a girl I had never seen before. She slammed the door shut and sat down. I cleared my throat an she looked up at me, eyes widening. I guess she'd thought the compartment had been an empty one.
