"Sleep, sleep, sleep," Viveka complained. "That's all we've done the last three days!"
"Shut up," I grumbled, nuzzling her neck. "I'm comfortable and you're ruining it."
"Can we at least get something to eat?" she asked and her stomach growled. "See? Even my stomach demands it!"
I laughed. "All right. Let's go."
"Yes!" she said and sat up so fast her head bumped into mine. "Shit," we said in unison and she laughed. "Sorry about that."
"A little less enthusiasm," I snapped and she rolled her eyes, shoving me playfully.
"Do I need to put you through another crash course on manners, Lord Cian?"
I put my arm around her waist and pulled her hip to mine as we walked.
"I don't know," I said. "I'll probably be too distracted and I'll fail."
She laughed. I knew she was still a little used to the idea of someone loving her; especially after how we met. I kept trying to figure out when I fell in love with her but it seemed to just happen gradually. I was glad, though. It had been my sister's last wish that I find love.
As we sat at the dining room table with my parents, her mother, and Chester, I wondered if she would become my queen. I watched her for most of the meal. Breakfast is when I had my daily blood. She was happy to see her family again. I meant what I said: I wouldn't turn her into a vampire just to be with me. Even though the clan would disagree, I was fine with having a human with me.
"Staring is rude," Viveka said, jerking me out of my thoughts.
"Ah, I can't help it," I said. "You've got something on your nose."
She reached for it and I laughed. She kicked me under the table with a smirk. It was obvious to our families that she and I had entered a relationship, albeit a very strange one.
"One more night," I begged when she tried to go home.
"I haven't seen my mother in almost two weeks," she said, gathering the dresses in my room.
I kissed her. "One more night," I whispered against her lips. I ran my hand up her sides. "Just one more night?"
She laughed, shivering at my touch. "Okay," she whispered. "One more night."
She kissed me, dropping her dresses and running her hands into my hair. I closed my eyes and held onto her hips. I wanted her desperately in more ways than one. I didn't need to read her mind to know that she was thinking the same thing.
She ran her tongue on my lower lip and I gladly allowed her access. She bit down gently on my tongue, something she knew drove me crazy. I pushed her against the wall and she laughed. Her breath quickened as I struggled with the internal debate going on in my head right now. I wouldn't do it without her consent.
"Looks like I've managed to teach you something after all," she panted and kissed me again.
"What do you mean?" I asked and she smirked. I frowned. "If you've got witch in you, does that mean you can read my mind?" She shook her head. "Then how did you-?"
"Just shut up and take your shirt off," she snapped.
I laughed and obeyed immediately. We staggered to my bed and she kissed down my neck and to my chest. I groaned quietly and untied her dress. I pulled it over her head and she kissed back up to my lips. I caressed her breasts while she untied my trousers. I kicked off my boots and rolled on top of her.
"Wait," she whispered and I looked down at her.
"What's wrong?" I asked with a frown.
She moved her hair to the side and bent her neck. My eyes widened.
"Please," she breathed.
"Viveka, are you sure about this?" I whispered. "There's no going back."
She kissed me passionately. "I want to be with the man I love forever."
I stared at her. "You love me?"
She nodded, blushing. I kissed her and put a trail of kisses down to her neck. She moaned as I kissed right above her vein. I licked it, dragging out the moment in case she changed her mind. I grazed my fangs against her neck and her back arched, burying her hand in my hair. Finally, I sank my teeth in.
"Oh my God," she groaned, breathing out gently.
I drank deeply, moaning and letting the taste of her blood fill every bit of my mouth. I gripped her hips tightly. Her blood was enough to send me into an orgasm and I pulled away before I drank it all. Panting, I slit my wrist. She drank from it eagerly and moaned quietly. My wrist healed and I licked her neck around my bite marks. She gripped my arms, panting, and I finally let my body take control.
She moaned, her head falling back. She wrapped a leg around me as I thrust into her, invigorated by her blood.
"I don't-I don't know what I'm doing," she panted as I moved slowly.
I groaned as I moved inside her. I rolled over and she turned red. "Keep moving like I was," I panted, running my hands up and down her thighs. "Ride me, baby."
She closed her eyes and did as I said. I kept mine open, taking in her naked body coated in a small layer of sweat. She tossed her head back and I gripped her breasts again. The act seemed to arouse her more and I held her in place with one hand. The other hand I used to prop myself up. While she continued to move on top of me, I bit into her breast, drawing blood.
"Oh shit," she moaned, gripping my hair. "It doesn't hurt this time."
"That's because you're mine," I panted and rolled over so I was on top of her again. I moved slowly and licked up the blood. "You are mine and I am yours."
"Forever," we said in unison.
Her transformation was smoother than mine had been. She spent the last few days of her humanity with her mother. Her mother was of two minds when Viveka told her that she was becoming a creature of the night but she was supportive. I was on the receiving end of Chester's fist again but this time it didn't bother me. He was looking out for a young woman who was like his little sister.
The first night she spent as a vampire was spent in bed with me. We fed from each other, making love with lust fueled passion. With each drop of her blood, it was as if she just gave me more and I could tell the feeling was shared.
"You know what this means now, right?" I told her in between romps.
She smirked. "You want me to be more... experimental?"
I chuckled. "That would be nice but no." I kissed her neck. "It means you have to marry me."
She laughed. "I don't remember that law."
"That's because it's not a law," I whispered in her ear.
"Is this your way of proposing to me, Lord Cian?" she asked with a smirk, her fangs glinting in the fire light.
"Oh no. Proposal suggests asking. You're gonna marry me," I breathed, nibbling on her ear.
"Mmm. You're not being very polite," she whispered. "I guess we'll just have to stop."
I groaned. "You're such a minx!"
"Come on, Lord Cian. What's the polite way to speak of marriage?"
I looked into her eyes and caressed her cheek. "Will you marry me, Viveka?"
She smiled and kissed me. "Very good. And yes, I will marry you Cian."
I beamed and bit gently on her neck, making her giggle.
