I was falling.

I was falling into a pit of, what seemed like, never ending darkness.

I felt alone, completely and utterly alone.

Just when the uncomfortable feeling of falling was lessening, I hit onto something very soft. It felt like I had been falling for ages. I'd never been so happy to feel the ground in my entire life.

I still couldn't see though. It was so dark that I couldn't see my hand in front of my face.

I was just starting to worry about how I was going to get out of there without my vision when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

I jumped so high I probably could've touched the moon.

"Sorry, I'm sorry" the voice that belonged to the hand said "You're really jumpy"

I've heard that voice before. Wyatt! It was Wyatt's voice! I felt instantly relieved as he felt around for my hand and pulled me up.

He didn't let go even after I was standing.

"Come on, It's not to far from here"

He pulled me along by the hand since I couldn't see anything. How in the world could he know where he was going?

"Calm down Evan' I thought " He kind of lives here".

We walked for a while. The path we were taking had so many twists and turns that there was no way I could escape even if I wanted to.

we turned one last time and I saw a light at the end of the hallway tunnel thing we were walking down, it took all of my self-control not to run toward it. I started walking faster until I was pulling Wyatt behind me toward it.

We finally reached the light, I walked out of teh dark tunnel and into the bright light that almost blinded me.

Once my eyes adjusted I saw the most beautiful city I had ever seen.

The buildings were iridescent and glittered and shone in a thousand different colors when the natural light of the cavern hit them. There was a huge bridge in front of where I was standing, that led across a small river. The bridge itself was far less mezmerizing then the city it led to; it was one of those rickity old bridges that people in movies always die on when they try to cross.

I tool one look at that bridge and backed away so that I was behind Wyatt. Have I mentioned that I absolutely hate heights?

He chuckled and said "It'll be ok, just hold on to me", my heart fluttered as he turned, motioned for me to get on his back, and sprinted across the bridge.

The End
