Mountain Road

I stood there for the longest time, still lost in the eyes of that gorgeous boy that had been here just moments before.

The only thing that snapped me out of my amazing fantasy, was the fact that it started pouring. It was raining so hard that you couldn't see more than three feet in front of you.

I ran back to the car. I got in and found my foster mom, she looked completely fine. It was like that boy had made her forget about seeing him.

I got in and buckled my seat belt. "what took you so long? I've been waiting for you to relieve yourself for the last twenty minutes" my foster mom said "It should never take that long".

I just shook my head in disbelief and turned back to the window

She started the car and we continued slowly up the twisting mountain road.

We drove at an agonizingly slow pace for about two hours. At that point I was ready to just walk to the stupid camp. My foster mom stopped the car in front of a big hill and looked as though she was arguing with herself on where to go.

I remembered the words that the boy had told me, he had told me to go left at the big hill. But what if this wasn't the right hill? I mean there are a lot of hills on a mountain road.

My foster mom still had the look on her face but she turned the car to the left, off the main road. I looked out to see where we were going, but with the rain I couldn't see anything.

She pressed on the gas and we sped down the "road", if you could even call it that. It was more like a trail. It was very narrow and surrounded by trees, I was pretty positive that we were going to crash into a tree and die; but for some odd reason we didn't.

The End
