Dancefloor Disaster

Welcome to the dance floor disaster.
Don't slow down. Don't behave.
And let's get dirty like we're digging graves.
You gotta get that blood pumping faster and faster.
Girl you cause a dance floor disaster.

More secret doors and even more secret passages were traversed before the roar of a plan engine could be heard. It overtook the senses, made everything much more real.

What have I gotten myself into...Matt though to himself as he continued his job of being Jordan's crutch.

“She's pretty amazing isn't she?” Jordan nodded in Karissa's direction. Matt thought he hadn't heard him correctly.

What did you say?” he hissed, venom dripping from his words.

“Isn't she something? Glad I told you to talk to her.” Jordan smiled a wide, obviously smitten with himself at the moment.

“We're on the run for our lives and you want to talk about how amazing she is?” Matt sputtered not caring that his voice was getting louder. Not like she can hear me with the 'plane' so close by...he concluded

“You didn't deny it~” Jordan sang before Karissa opened one final door, blinding them with dull light after being in the dark for so long.

“Come on!” she screamed over the noise. They all ran, Jordan did more of a hobble, to the lowered stairway of the aircraft and were seated safely aboard. Matt next Jordan and Karissa across from them. Matt couldn't take his eyes off of her and Jordan couldn't take his eyes off of Matt. His plan was coming together nicely, although he hadn't anticipated that it would work out like it had.

“What do we do now?” Matt asked.

“We go to HQ.”

“Headquarters, duh.” Jordan chimed in. Matt glared at him.

“Yes, to headquarters. We have to hear from my superiors... they'll give me my mission briefing... and let me know what to do with the both of you.” She wouldn't make eye contact with either of them after that.

“Wait... what? What do you mean by that? We didn't ask to be apart of this!” Matt's grip on his knees tightened.

“Calm down buddy.” Jordan frowned before looking at Karissa, “But his anger isn't wrongly place. You owe us a lot more answers than you gave us earlier. Despite the fact that we were in danger. The subtle hint that we not make it out of 'HQ' safely wasn't very nice.” Jordan pouted at Karissa. She looked at the two men in front of her with a broken expression.

“I'm sorry guys, really, I am.” Tears welled up in her eyes.

“What are you... talking... about-” Matt slurred, Jordan slumped in his seat.

“I'm so sorry...” Karissa whispered.

What's going on now?... Matt managed to think before his world turned black.

Karissa jumped as the phone beside her rang, her hand shaking as she reached out to answer it.

The End
