Something was down there, Lily just knew it, and she had to prove it.  But what was down there?  It had to have been the previous owners of the house that had put it there.  They had never really told her about themselves, so who knows what they were into?  Whatever was in that cellar was dangerous, she knew it.

Oh, snap out of it!  This was crazy.  How could there be something so dangerous in her cellar if it had never come out?

But there is something down there.  There just is.  Crazy or not, Lily knew what she believed; she just didn't know why.

The way she saw it, there was only one thing for her to do.  She picked up the phone and called the one number she knew she could still trust.
