And there we have it! The end of my (very, very) rough first draft of Clockwork and Old Gods. Thanks to everyone who's read along, it's been a long ride, but a helluva ride. Since we've reached the end at last, I'm curious to hear what you guys thought of it all - good, bad, or ugly. Comments, lads, comments!

Now I'm on to editing this beast into something a publisher might accept. It's gonna be a lot of work, but hopefully someday you'll see this thing on a store shelf or your ereader.

There will, of course, be a sequel to this at some point. ;)

Welcome to Clockwork and Old Gods. This is a world where magic, tied to the Gods and long depended upon, is waning. In it's place rises technological innovation, driven by brilliant inventors who seek to replicate anything magic can do with their own mundane creations.

The Gods have been silent for a long time, and their religion is dieing along with the importance of magic. But the Gods aren't gone - not all of them.

The setting is Marsten, a city founded at the crossroads of two major trade routes. It's ruled over by five Princes: Hammon, Noron, Konrad, Vincent, and a woman they call Her Ladyship. Ladyship is a great proponent of technological advancement, and has gathered inventors from all across the land for what she calls a 'celebration of technology'. It is a festival meant to showcase all that technology has to offer the world.

Into this stumbles Noman, an amnesiac who is gifted with supernatural traits and a strange green stone. A voice, sometimes malevolent, sometimes sympathetic, guides him to commit murders across the city in pursuit of an agenda he does not comprehend.

The Watch, protectors of Marsten, investigate each murder and find arcane symbols drawn in the victim's blood. A Watchman named Hatchet has a run in with a shape shifting, living shadow he realizes is a demon. Recognizing a magical component they call in Olian the mage to assist. But the more Olian investigates the strange symbols the more tenuous his grasp on sanity becomes.

With the Technology Fair soon to start Olian and Hatchet race to find Noman before he brings to fruition the mysterious voice's plot...
