Clinging To Her Innocence

Recommend

The music she plays is silent.
The tears she cries are dry.
Her mouth taste like sandpaper,
Fighting her life as a lie.

Leaning against her window.
Torn in two her heart sinks.
Raindrops sooth her restless mind,
Not knowing what to think.

She is all too forgiving,
To the hated evil whispering in her ear.
A life full of blame on a soul
Can be too hard for one to bare.

But she glares at him in the court room,
As he murmers his animal plea.
With pleasure the judge roars "Life"
And her smile becomes wide and free.

"That's your justice," she cries,
"For taken my innocence from me."
