Drakmor laughed at Sage Rosewood. Here she was, sitting in a guarded room after being kidnapped and she still kept a air of serenity.
"I don't know how to write, Sage," he said, smiling broadly. It was good to see the woman once more. Especially now that she had grown into a beautiful woman. "Plus, I wanted to see how much you've matured.... Mentally, of course."
Sage glared at him. "What do you want? Why are you doing this?" She commanded. Drakmor smiled wider. Now she commanded him? Her captor?
"Speedy, give us a moment," Drakmor said to the man. Speedy just eyed him. "I'll deal with Murados when I leave," He added. Speedy nodded and left the room, leaving Drakmor and Sage alone.
"So," Drakmor started, "How has your whole 'killing my father' business work out?"
Sage's glare became more intense. "How do you think?"
"Well, I saw the devastation, so I'm guessing the enemy trying to wipe your empire is true."
"Obviously," Sage replied.
"Well, don't you want to know where I've been since the Jackdaw crashed?"
Sage's expression softened. "Where have you been?"
"Can't say," Drakmor said with a laugh, causing Sage to grimace. "OK, OK, I've been preparing for a war. I went to see if Captain Briar would help, but he's preoccupied with his own business. Not to mention, the Jackdaw is up and running again."
"Good.." Sage said, causing Drakmor to stop.
"So, you are still that same girl and not some pompous highborn," he said, which caused Sage to glare at him again.
"I'll have you know that I have a kingdom to mend and little time or manpower to do so!" Sage retorted.
"Blah, blah, blah, Why do you think I came?" Sage perked up, obviously hopeful.
"Well, I'm gonna help you out!" Drakmor said cheerfully, standing up, "Though I suppose I should explain how I came to this point in more detail, huh?"
"That would be helpful," Sage replied.
"Well, as you know, my father took me back to my own dimension," Drakmor said, trying to avoid any talk of Valeria. Though she had been dead before he came to this place, it still hurt to talk about her. "After that, I went to traveling the world in order to find my younger brother."
"You have a brother?" Sage asked incredulously.
"Yes, and he isn't like me at all, just so you know. A brat, is what I'd call him."
"And you aren't?" Sage retorted, "I remember when you scared me half to death on your old bike."
Drakmor laughed. "Yeah I remember that old thing. Anyway, I got involved in a war with a man named Rhazin. Don't know the guy personally, but I don't have much time until I'm needed." Drakmor sighed. "I can only stay for a little while, but I should be able to help you train your men and prepare your defenses."
Sage nodded, a smile coming into her queen-like demeanor briefly before her glare came back.
Drakmor expected the stubbornness, so he went on. "Now to call Darrol off of Baron and Jim of off your beastie. I hope Jim hasn't hurt the poor thing."
Sage laughed at that, for some odd reason.
"Anyway, any questions?" Drakmor asked, realizing he had all but spoken for both of them.
