Chapter II-IIIMature

The spider lunged onto the priest, attempting to bit it with it's vicious maw. The only thing that saved his was the chainmail and helmet he wore as it prevented the arachnid from simply decapitating him in a single blow.

Still on the nearby vantage point, the Nightwalker dropped his crossbow, which was too slow to be recharged on the spot of the moment. Without wasting a moment, he threw the knives he stashed within his garment at the thing, aiming at the joint of the creature.

One of them, struck luckily right where the two body segment of the spider rejoined, causing it to let out a strange and awful hissing.

On his side, Malkav didn't waste time either, cutting off the spider's nearest leg with a two handed horizontal swing of his Steelwood bastard sword as he sang a children song...

"The Itsy Bitsy Spider crawled up the water spout.
Down came the rain, and washed the spider out.
Out came the sun, and dried up all the rain,
And the Itsy Bitsy Spider went up the spout again."

With each of his swings, he sent the spider's colorless blood splashing all over the cavern's walls, letting out a horrid, sickening smell.

Under the spider, the priest couldn't move much as the spider repeatedly tried to bite him but he had enough room for his hand to touch the spider. His hands met the thing's carapace and he muttered a prayer.

Priests were healers, restoring the sick and wounded to health. But they could also take that health away from their enemies. Dark light emerged from his bare fingers and sucked the beast's life away.

As he did, the spider stopped struggling and crashed down, all it's weight resting on Morden. "A lil' help here."

The End
