They walked together down the icy street, Gabriel gripped tightly onto Dawn's arm as he slid a little.
“So do all humans celebrate this?” Gabriel asked once he was upright again, Dawn smiled at him.
“Most do yes.” Dawn said as they looked in shop windows at the decorations, Dawn slipped and someone grabbed his arm. “Thanks.”
“You’re welcome.” A familiar voice said happily. They turned to see Lou stood behind them Dawn grinned hugging his Father tightly Lou laughed. “It’s good to see you too.”
“Do I get a hug too?” a voice drawled Rossier grinned at Gabriel.
“You wish.” Gabriel snarled.
“I wish for more than that.” Rossier laughed Gabriel's rising fist was caught by Berith.
“So, how are you two?” she asked as Gabriel glared at Rossier.
“fine.” Dawn nodded. Gabriel looked down the long street his annoyance at Rossier vanishing as he smiled at the lights.
“Gabriel?” Berith said gently.
“I'm fine.” He replied.
“Shall we head back?” Lou asked.
“sure.” Berith nodded Lou rested a hand on the vampyres shoulder.
“Did you need to feed first?”
“No” Gabriel said the large daemons gentle hand breaking his distracted stare he looked up at Lou. “Come on then.” He nodded.
“Hang on.” Dawn said smiling “I’ll be back in a minute.”
“What’s he up too?” Rossier frowned as Dawn hurried away.
“No idea.” Lou shrugged moving a little way down the street sitting down on a wooden bench. The others quickly followed. Rossier grinned up at Van Hay as he took the last space. Van Hays light eyes just looked calmly at him then quick as a flash his dark skinned fingers gripped the top of Rossier's ear. The daemon squeaked as Van Hay pulled him up and switched places sitting down.
“That wasn’t fair.” Rossier grumbled rubbing his now very pink ear.
“Seems fair to me.” Lou laughed “so Gabriel,” he said turning to the vampyre “what have you got Dawn for Christmas?”
“Huh?” Gabriel frowned.
“I thought so” Lou smiled “he hasn’t explained this very well has he?”
