Sorry for missing last week. I had to help supervise the moving of my stuff from the house. Then I had to keep up with my studies, so I was exhausted by the end of the day. I didn’t even get a chance to go riding until yesterday, which was good because they’re shipping the horses over this week. Actually the ride was a lot of fun. Sarah went with me and at her insistence, we rode over to the fair ground in costume, it’s lots of fun. We saw Michael there and ended up riding in the park with him. To bad Ryan isn’t still with us, I think he’d have lots of fun trying to get Michael out of character, because I’m beginning to wonder if he ever does. It’s funny though, when I’m around Michael it’s so much easier to be in character than out anyway.
I challenged Michael to a riding contest. So we headed back to the stables because they’d just finished a horse show. I wish Aunt Agatha would let me compete. I don’t know what I was thinking because they had one of the most difficult courses set up, one I haven’t mastered, but I couldn’t back down. I decided to go first, even though Michael insisted he should. I figured I’d give him the advantage of watching me, so he could see how the course was laid out. I did well too, despite being nervous. Michael helped me down form my horse and said something like ‘If a lady can do that so can I’. He did well for someone who’d never been on that course before, but when he dismounted he told me that he hadn’t realized the course was so hard due to the ease I had in doing it. That really made me smile. Of course by that time we had to bring in the horses and head home. Sarah’s going to see if he can join us for dinner sometime this week. I don’t know if I want him over for dinner though, especially since we're leaving for Europe soon. Just my luck that I’d find someone I like enough to be friends with right before I’m about to move across the ocean.
