Childs Play
Your head made me cry like a baby, because your heart would not speak...
For itself because you gagged and bound it, with the safety blanket with which you sleep.
Your mouth can speak soft then cut me like a train, in two
Let's Run, Play games, hide in the woods together.
Spoil it child, take it, it's all that you want, I knew that from the start but naivety said
I'll be careful because the screws, they are loose
and the locks have quite clearly been broken
And I've run out of double A batteries for my brain.
So when you shut the door in my face, after I've given you just what you screamed for
Because your too bored to play along and your limbs have descended
I will sit, child
Then i will run, child
With my heart on my sleeve, pumping in rhythm to my feet.
With my arm bands so that I would not drown and my stabilisers at either side.
From the nightmare of a love that you grew into, to be.
You were a child to me when you took my hand.
