the Black King's Pawn,

was always put in the way.

He'd block an attack

aimed at his King's back,

and with his life he'd pay.

And yet, without trouble,

he'll be up "On the double!"

for another chance to play.

Another move thus

and dear Shawn's bit the dust,

first casualty of the day.

So if you aren't so strong

(Just like poor old Shawn)

and don't want to end up dead,

rid the board of Kings

and other hierarchal things,

and play checkers, yell "King me!" instead.
