Celestial Turmoil
From a view beyond the clouds, angels gazed down upon the people bellow, spectators of life and death. As humans, we thought of them as guarding us from evil, our guides to Eden. That was quite the fairy tale; in fact, the surprise to most on arrival to heaven would be enough to send even the strictest of religious men into a frenzy of sin. They were glorified recruiters of gods.Hows that for noble.
Gods came and went in the heavenly play ground;no one god, ruled over all. There was separation, even in the heavens.Gods and Goddesses all mingling about with different opinions, on this and that. Goddesses and gods of art, war, music, love, magic and creation. Too many to classify
Heaven was a city in a much larger plain of existence ,so big you could fit hundreds of Earths within its vast and surreal atmosphere. Thanks to some sort of magic,it floated on top of the clouds, surrounding it were large golden walls that glimmered in the sun.Nothing could enter from the outside, spells created a sort of force to protect and surround its inhabitants. The city of gods was in fact an amazing spectacle. Its was nothing like the modern city were accustomed to seeing, more like an ancient city, plants and flowers growing everywhere vines dangling from the clouds.
It was a safe haven for a variety of mystical beings. Only some humans were given the chance to ever enter, and angels were among the high ranks, you needed to earn your wings, which is a whole other story.
While Heaven lay perched a top the clouds, underneath was a lot like earth ,forests, jungles, mountains, oceans and deserts. The lush beautiful scenery could fool anyone into believing it were safe, though it was up to the brim with wild animals, creatures that would send your heart pounding through your chest. Those were only the beginnings to the horrific dangers that lurked beyond the safety of Heavens walls.
