The "New" stuff

New place, new town, new school, and a seemingly new life.

I don't recall what made me move, It was just one day I thought "Hey I want to move somewhere else." Yes I admit I'm weird, but here I am, standing in front of my hotel door. I sigh as I slide the key into my room's lock; room 7 read the plastic plate that hung at eye level on the door. Room seven on the bottom floor. The door swung open revealing a plain sight. White walls, a bed, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Not too bad, It could be worse. An image of little ol' me shivering inside a cardboard box wrapped up in a blanket, passed through my head. Yep, I think I've got it pretty good. I removed my book bag from my back and kind of flopped it on the bed. The moment it hit the bed I heard a high pitched sound. I looked around...... "what was that?" I picked up my "flopped" book bag and sure enough there was a lump under the sheet of the bed. My first thought was... cockroach.... but roaches don't squeak. (and yes I actually stood there and thought about this) The lump shifted and then started to move around, slowly but surely making it's way to the top of the covers to get away from the "flopped" location. Okay there is only one way to find out. I reached up for the sheet and grasped it it the bed's upper right corner. Right as I was about to yank the covers back... "BUZZZ ....... BUZZZZZ" The buzzer of my door rung. I released the sheet and my curiosity faded as I lumbered towards my apartment door.

I looked through the peep hole to see who was interrupting my miniature investigation. It was the land lady. I rolled my eyes at her bright pink jumper, her blond bouncy hair, bright pink lipstick which moved up and down as she literally smacked and chomped on a piece of Hubba Bubba gum. How annoying already.
