Catatonic Oliver
Oliver had been in some sort of catatonic paralysis for five years now, going on six.He stayed at the hospital for two weeks after the initial incident, till doctors recommended he be sent to the local mental institution. Where he'd be given the proper care he needed. The diagnosis nearly put his parents into something of a coma. Speechless, something the whole family had in common for those rare seconds. Then the silence was broken ,Olivers mother burst out shrieking lunging at the doctor "Do something please!" Unfortunately all he could do for her was make the accommodations and arrange for the 26 year old Olly to be transfered to the mental institution.
Mr Henry sat on the bed beside Oliver, looking into his eyes, waiting for the nurses to come back with the wheel chair."Hey Olly ,I know you're in there buddy, just wake up,that's all you got to do,snap out of it." "What ever happened to you out there, don't worry your back boy, you're safe" All of this in desperation.Futile attempts to wake up his son.His attempts were cut short when the nurse came back in.Lifting Oliver from the bed they placed him into the wheelchair. Then they rolled him through the hall way, into an elevator, then out through the reception area, which as you can guess, was full of sick people.Oliver didn't realize that after leaving those sliding doors he was on his way to the loony bin,not like he would realize, you know ,him being catatonic and all.
Five years later, almost six. For his parents the time went by slowly, they paid for all his therapy, years of it,a fortune.Easy money for the therapist if you ask me." So Oliver what's new" "How have you been doing" "You're quite the talker aren't you Oliver" All of which would just go on unanswered. Oliver in his condition wasn't very good company.Unless of coarse you had a secret to to tell.Though something was burning inside Olivers mind,he was living a dream in the confines of his imagination.
