Castle Walls
Castle walls
The sun was warm and the breeze swayed the tree above me, but my wonderful sleep didn’t last long. Bummer. The sound of hooves clopped against the rocks on the dirt road that was beneath me that lead straight to the kingdom, but…. there was a fork in the road that was used as a back way to the kingdom. By all means it was a much safer road to take as far as royalty was concerned; apparently this moron was intending to go straight.
I didn't mean to spook the archer on horseback when I swung backwards on the branch on the tree. The now upside down man yelped and broke rank. "Sorry bout that, didn't mean to spook ya" I said with a friendly smile. Apparently the archer wasn't amused by my appearance and instead of making a comment he notched and nasty looking arrow on the the strong, thin twine strung between a longbow and aimed at me. "Well that's not nice I already apologized" I said. He didn't move. He slowly turned his neck and shouted over his shoulder all the while keeping his eyes on me. "Prince Nir..." He paused because the prince was right there. There as in a foot away. "Are you blind? I'm standing right here."
