After an hour of explaining about the Reign of King Henry’s daughter Queen Elizabeth I, I was more then ready for a nap and as soon as I walked out of the school I saw Drew leaning on the hood of my car.
His long arms where folded across his black shirt with the words “LIFE” written in yellow. He was wearing dark blue jeans and black converse shoes. His blond hair was in his eyes and right next to him was a school bag that was holding something. I thought I was going to melt in a puddle.
“Hey there, Love.” Drew stood up
“How are you?” He pulled me into a hug
“Perfect now that you're in my arms.”
“I'm glad.” I said as all the stress of the day left me.
“Do you want to go on a date tonight?”
“I just have to be home by 6:30 tonight.”
Drew stepped back. “Why? Going on an other date with another guy?” he asked teasingly.
“No. Some detectives are coming to ask me questions about Emma.”
“I'm glad to help for Emma's sake. Sooo, are you doing anything until 6:30?”
“Let me check my imaginary planer,” he looked at his hand. “Nope.”
“Have you see movie Tristan and Isolde?”
“No. How history is it?”
“It's a Celtic legend.”
“How romantic is it.”
“I'd say enough to suit your taste.” I unlocked my car and opened the driver side door.
Two hours later Drew and I were walking out of the movie theater having utterly loved movie.
“What did you think of it?” Drew asked as he wrapped an arm around me.
“I thought it was extremely well done.”
“What was your favorite part?”
“All of it.”
“Yes. Their love gave me goose bumps! Yours?”
When we reached the car Drew push me against the car, kissed me and then quickly pulled away.
“What was that for?”
“I couldn't kiss you during the movie since there were old people around us.”
“They would have gotten all oldie around us.”
“Yep.” Drew opened and held open my door. “After you, my lady.”
“Thanks.” I walked under his arm and got in the driver seat.
Drew shut the door and walked over to the passenger side. Opening the door he first put the school bag on the floor and then sat in the car closing the door tight behind him.
Pulling out of the parking lot I asked Drew what was in his bag.
“Hair dying stuff.”
“Why and what color?”
“Because I want to try something different. And the color is black.”
“Doesn't that sound cliche? The smart bright girl falling in love with the dark boy?”
“Just a little.”
“Can I borrow your shower and a towel?”
“Not that I’m complaining or anything but why can't you do it at your place?”
“My roommate is using it to do his experiments in. And last time I took a shower there I accidentally broke something that was important and he told me that I could only come into the apartment to sleep.”
“Harsh.” I pulled onto the freeway.
“Ya. So is it okay if I use your shower and a towel?”
“Yep. Just don't dye anything or else my landlord will make me pay for it.”
“I wouldn't dream of doing that to you.”
“You're welcome, baby.”
