Chapter Five

For that entire day, I did nothing. I settled into the house, but that was about it. My stuff had already been dumped in the house, so all I had to do was put them away, but I'm a clean and tidy person; I'm used to putting stuff away. When I had unpacked and put everything away, I felt like I didn't have anything else to do.

I walked into the living room which was just to the left of the front door. It seemed as if it was part of the porch, but the walls that stuck out from the sides made it clear it was another room. There was no door, though. I put my hands in my pockets, whistling out of sheer boredom. The walls of the living room were all white, and the settees were a white material. They looked soft and comfortable; as if you could sink into them. The carpet looked like it had grown soft cream coloured fur. I clenched my toes, my bare feet taking in the pleasurable feeling. The settee was facing a huge, wide-screen TV. I looked down, and in a shelf under the TV was a Sky+ box. Heaven!

There was another one-seater settee with the same theme (comfortable white material), and behind it were two French doors that looked so elegant. They led out into a huge field with a forest surrounding it. I could see a beautiful orchard which looked golden in the sunlight. This place was beautiful yet secluded, which was perfect for me...Just perfect.
