Dawn Summers gets taken to a camp for demigods, where she meets Perct Jackson. It's basically a cross-over fan-fic of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
Buffy stared up the hill, watching someone climb gracefully down it. It was night, and the moonlight glowed over the grass, accentuating every blade with a dull white glow.
The young boy that was slowly walking nearer to her had dark hair and blue eyes. He looked about seventeen, which was much too young to be carrying the huge broad-sword he had. She had one that looked similar.
Dawn was standing next to her, excitement clear on her face. Also, longing. Buffy raised her eyebrows at Dawn, mouthing the word ‘him?’ to her. Dawn scowled. Buffy could understand it. This kid was good-looking, but he was seventeen, and she didn’t want another R-J incident, which was good, because she had no feelings for this boy.
“Hi, I’m Percy Jackson. You must be Dawn. We knew you were coming.” The boy, Percy, said when he reached them. Percy shot his hand out toward Dawn, waiting for her to shake it, which she did timidly.
C’mon Dawn. Do better than that! Buffy thought.
“Um, we got a letter telling us to come here. What’s up?” Buffy asked, keeping her face expressionless.
“Well, I don’t know if you’ll believe it, and we are certain of this, but Dawn here is a… demigod.” Percy said.
“Wha-huh- whoa-what?” Buffy stuttered. Dawn’s eyes widened then she didn’t move.
“You have to be kidding me!” Dawn said after a couple of minutes. Percy ignored their stuttering and disbelief.
“Everyone here is one, and you’ll be trained to fight. Right up there is Half-Blood Hill, which is where a camp is held for people like you and me. Demigods.”
“Okay…um… let me get over the shock for a sec.” Dawn said, her voice higher than usual. Percy nodded.
“Are you okay, Mrs Summers?” Percy said to Buffy.
“Oh, um, I’m not a Mrs. I’m a Miss. I’m also not her mom…” Buffy replied.
“Oh… sorry. But you are okay, right?” Percy said. Buffy nodded.
“Funnily enough, this type of stuff is daily for us.” Buffy said, turning to look at Dawn who was breathing slowly, but otherwise seemed okay.
“Well, I guess we’ll have to get you to the camp, then. I’m sorry Miss Summers, but only Dawn can enter. Normal humans can’t enter the camp.” Percy explained. Buffy smirked,
“I don’t think that’ll be a problem.” She replied, still smirking.
“Whatever you say…” Percy said, frowning. He walked up the hill with Dawn next to him. Buffy walked behind them to give them some privacy.
A sign came into view. It looked like one of the signs you’d find at a summer camp; wooden and arched with words etched onto it. These letters weren’t English, thus she couldn’t read them.
When Percy and Dawn had walked under the sign, Percy stopped Dawn and turned toward Buffy.
“Look I’m telling you, you aren’t going to be able to go any fur-” Percy stopped talking when Buffy walked under the sign easily. She couldn’t help but smile a little bit.
“I’m not normal.” She said.
