John Legend's Tonight (Best I Ever Had) rung in my ear as the plane started to land in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mikhael and I watched my new favorite movie, Think Like A Man, Act Like a Lady by Steve Harvey, starring Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Meagan Good, Michael Eady, Terrance J and so many other talented actors and actresses.
I loved the movie! I could relate it to everything in my life and certainly my girlfriends lives. The plane ride was three hours and forty-two minutes, but my cousin flew us down in first class, so I didn't mind it at all. Mikhael didn't mind neither, he fell asleep after the movie and have been peacefully sleep for some time now. I gently woke him up by rubbing his jeans. That always woke him up nicely and gave him a grin on his face.
"Good afternoon, Brooklyn."
"Afternoon, baby." He whispered in a raspy voice.
I passed him his fitted cap and he grabbed my laptop bag that was beneath our seat. We collected our things as everyone started to leave the plane. I excused myself to the bathroom, to freshen up. When I returned to my seat, I was left in awe to how handsome Mikhael was. I was blessed and honored that God sent Mikhael to me and how he was a perfect soul mate to me... or if not a soul mate but a partner.
Mikhael broke my train of thought as he usually does and we exited the plane. I text my cousin as she was running a few minutes behind. We waited outside of the airport by the cars.
Atlanta was absolutely beautiful. One word described it best; HOT! I understand why they call it Hotlanta, cause as soon as I stepped out of the shade, Mikhael and I were sweating.
Mikhael rolled our suitcases over to a bench. Mikhael gave me a few dollars and I walked over to soda machine for some drinks. I couldn't figure out how to work the machine, I looked back at Mikhael to see another man slowly approach me.
"Excuse me..." He said as I turned to face him.
He was a chocolate skinned man, about 23 with luscious lips and a tight body. He was wearing an red and white striped A-shirt with dark blue cargo shorts on.
"Yes?" I said as I pressed my money into the machine.
He reached his hand towards the machine and pointed that I was doing something wrong.
He continued, "You should do it like this."
He stood behind me and grabbed my hand, and assisted me in getting the drinks. It was very sexy, how he did it, I have to say!
I was caught up in the moment for a second until I realized Mikhael on his way over here. Both sodas popped out of the machine.
"Thank you... I was struggling, wasn't I?" I chuckled.
"No problem, I don't like seeing cute guys struggle, like yourself."
Mikhael interrupted, "Oh you don't have to worry about it, that's the job of his boyfriend... me?"
I rolled my eyes and for the first time I saw a jealous Mikhael.
The guy responded, "No shade man, just be careful. You got a cute man on your arms, and I guess you guys are new around here... cause relationships really don't last around here."
I looked at Kel as he appeared to be tensed...
"Well you don't have to worry about that. But thanks for helping my man out. I got it from here."
