She's the girl that stay inside to do homework while her friends go out for a drink, she's the girl who takes a book and suncream to the beach while she watches the others burn and run around in the ocean. Ivy walked in through her front door that afternoon, called a brief  "Hello" and then made her way up the stairs, unbottoning her red coat as she did.

Ivy was your average looking teenage girl. Her long, strawberry-blonde hair was neatly pulled back into a ponytail, her thick black-rimmed glasses laid tidily on her elegant nose while emerald green eyes shone with excitement behind the lenses. Faint freckles sat on her milky skin and her lips flushed pink.

She slumped her school bag down onto the bed and went over to her bookshelf. Skimming across the spines like you would carress a lover she picked a good looking hardback and flumped down beside her bag, pushing it off onto the carpet with one hand and pulling out the band in her hair with the other. She kicked off her shoes and started to read, her phone on silent and her earphones in. There was no stopping Ivy when she began to read.
