“What is it?” Dawn asked picking at a loose thread on his sling.
“I don’t really know how to say this” Sylver paused “but in the pipe” Dawn looked at him as he rolled a cigarette from the supplies left by Lewis. “I saw another you” Sylver frowned.
“Another me?” Dawn smiled Sylver nodded “was I out cold?” Sylver nodded again. “Then it wasn’t a dream” Dawn said almost to himself.
“What wasn’t?” Dawn sighed and his face twisted into a look of badly held distress.
“She cut his hair” the daemon mumbled.
“What are you talking about?” Sylver growled.
“I thought it was a very realistic dream I saw Gabriel he's not well” Dawn frowned. “He’s got a fever and his hairs short”
“So like an out of body experience?” Sylver asked.
“Astral projection” Allegra said from the doorway Lewis was with her.
“Do you mind?” Dawn growled.
“I needed to see you my lord” Allegra said she looked exhausted but unharmed. Sylver's mind seemed to kick into gear as he watched her.
“So you're how mother knew about Morgan and Chrys” Allegra nodded.
“I thought she was Gabriel” Allegra said a red flush on her face. “I explained all about the kids I didn’t know she could shapeshift” she hung her head her filthy blonde hair hanging in her face.
“Allegra” Dawn said sharply she looked up at him. “Do not blame yourself for this. She managed to fool all of us she knew all along and we just let her in.” Dawn growled to himself. “I let her near Gabriel without a fight” he looked away from them staring out of the small window.
“Dawn” Sylver moved towards the daemon and sat down on the edge of the bed next to him. “Don’t be so hard on yourself” Dawn looked at him.
“Why are you telling me that?”
“What do you mean?” Sylver frowned.
“You’ve never made our dislike of each other a secret.” Dawn said. “I got him in trouble and you're telling me not to blame myself”
“True” Sylver agreed “but it isn’t your fault that mothers a psychopath who likes hurting people, especially Gabriel”
“I should have tried harder to protect him” Dawn said sadly.
“The fights not over yet” Sylver stood up and stood directly in front of Dawn and put his hand out. Dawn looked at the vampyre suspiciously for a moment then took his hand. “the only thing I ask Dawn is stop feeling sorry for yourself and concentrate on getting better we’re going to need all the help we can get and Gabriel will need you” Sylver released Dawn's hand as the daemon nodded.
“That’s why I'm coming back with you” Lewis stated from the doorway.
“But you won’t last on the midway.”
“I will I just wont be an angel anymore.” Sylver looked at the angel in astonishment. “I've been thinking that being an angel doesn't suit me. I thought I’d give vampyrism a go” Dawn laughed painfully.
