I quickly ran back to the place I lived back then and sat her down on my bed. The poor thing was shivering, wet and sickly. It was a miracle she had managed to struggle at all earlier that evening. With her consent, I very awkwardly undressed her and tucked her in for the night.
Quickly, she fell asleep and I watched over her. As the morning came, she hadn't woken up and I quickly went out to grab some things, making sure to lock the door so she wouldn't run away.
When I came back, she was awake and tightly tucked in my bed with a fever. Next to her, on the nightstand I deposed some new clothes I had just bought.
"Put these on, and I'll give you something to eat. Okay?"
She very meekly nodded as I left the room, closing the door behind me. She came out wearing a new pair of PJs and I let her sit at the table where I placed the McMuffin egg sandwiches. She reluctantly looked at the food before I encouraged her; "Go ahead, eat as much as you want."
Without anymore reserve, she ate just about everything I gave her. "It was a good idea to take a lot..." I mumbled to myself.
"Will you finally tell me your name?"
Again she didn't answer and I sighed. "You don't talk much do you?" I commented more than asked. "Here, I got something else for you."
Out of the bag I had brought back, I took out a few toys and trinkets and handed them to her. She looked at them for a moment, neutrally until she reached for something and lifted it to her. It was a barbie princess doll.
"Doll..." She whispered, her eyes looking sad yet happy and a melancholic smile on her lips. It obviously reminded her of something from her past, but I didn't know what.
"Since you won't tell me your name, you can be my little Doll." I said smiling warmly.
