Taylor let go of her breath. She'd been holding it in since she told Stefan about her hurt shoulder. She looked up at her boyfriend, at his dark hair, a bit messy from the wind, and his eyes shinning under the lights. He was one of the most wanted boys here. Girls were always trying to come between them.
Ian kissed the top of Taylor's head and then winked at a passing cheerleader. It was no secret that Ian wasn't the perfect boyfriend, but Taylor loved him and that wasn't going to change. They stood outside Taylor's marketing class. Ian handed Taylor her books, careful not to put any weight on her shoulder.
"I'm sorry about last night," Ian said, looking down at her.
"It's okay. It was just a misunderstanding," Taylor said, looking over his shoulder.
He hugged her softly. "I love you," he said into her hair.
"I love you too," she said, planting a kiss on his cheek, leaving little red lip prints on his cheek.
"Alright you two, get to class," Mr. Tucker, the band teacher, said to them.
Ian walked towards the gym and Taylor took her seat at a computer. Since she was dating the most wanted boy in school, a lot of the girls didn't talk to her. She popped her gum waiting for Josh, another football player, to come sit at the computer next to her. Josh had been a brother to Taylor ever since she moved here.
"Hey Josh," she said with a smile.
He didn't akwnowledge her at all.
"Josh?" she said, louder this time.
