The railing is cool beneath your hands but you hoist yourself over. Do you make a fancy dive finish or do you just peel your fingers off the railings. Forget it, if you think about it any longer you'll just change your mind. The fall is the most anxious part and there's two seconds before you submerge where you wish to be standing up behind the railing again. Too late now. The cold pushes the air out of your lungs and your eyes won't open. Your legs just kick for the surface but you can't get there because you've hit something. There's blackness encasing you that is so comforting you couldn't open your eyes if you wanted to. A small light though is all that keeps the darkness from perfection, and an echo of yelling, do you go to the light or stay in the comfort of the darkness?

The End
