The day is warm and the hum of cars on the overpass overhead is soothing. Pushing up against the railing the water below is invitingly blue. The week had been long and the stress of life creating knots in muscles never fully used to their capacity is slipping away as the buoys dance on the subtle waves. It would be easy to jump and give in to the depths below. So simple. To jump or not to jump, that is the question.
