Robert shut the front door and smiled at Beth. He took her hand and led her to the car. He sat her in the car and planted a gentle kiss on her lips but pulled away before he pulled her back into the house and carried out his promise of locking her up. He shut her door and climbed in beside her.
He started the car and pulled out of the drive. He glanced over at Beth, who was grinning manically. She kept biting her lip. Robert looked down at what she was wearing. A tight buttoned red shirt and a short skirt. He knew she was doing this to him on purpose, taunting him with her body. She was twirling her hair around her fingers.
A small smile spread across her lips and a blush painted her cheeks a beautiful pink.
“What?” Robert asked, smiling crookedly at her.
“Just remembering our morning,” she whispered, looking up at him shyly. “I quite enjoyed it.”
“Oh yes?” he asked, raising an eyebrow and letting his smile turn playful.
“You know I did.”
Beth blushed when she admitted to herself just how much she’d enjoyed their morning. Her flush deepened as she remembered the feel of Robert’s lips on her skin. Her eyes slid shut as her skin still burnt and tingled where he’d kissed her, all down her throat, across her chest, over her breasts and over her stomach. Beth shivered as she recalled the way his nose had run up her thigh.
When she opened her eyes, the car was stationary. Robert was watching her with a smirk on his lips.
“What’s so funny?” she asked him.
“You are,” he said, his smile widening.
“Glad you find me funny,” she said, crossing her arms.
He leant across and kissed her cheek, making her insides melt. Beth pulled his lips onto hers. He pulled away quickly.
“I don’t particularly want a re-enactment of this morning – not in public anyway – and that’s what’s going to happen if we kiss at this particular moment.”
Beth blushed and got out the car quickly. She felt exactly the same. There was something deep inside her belly, burning with a needy feeling. She somehow knew it was what desire felt like. She bit her lip and glanced over at Robert. He was watching her with a dark, hungry look in his eyes. Beth blushed as he walked around to her. He planted a kiss on her forehead and clutched her to him.
Beth and Robert were sat in silence in some coffee shop. Robert was watching her, his thumb rubbing his lower lip absent-mindedly. The small smile on his lips made Beth wonder what he was thinking.
The area he’d brought her was full of expensive boutiques and, in every shop they went in, he assured her that the price didn’t matter.
“Robert?” Beth whispered, looking up from her glass of cola.
“Hm?” he replied.
“How exactly do you have so much money?” she asked quietly.
He raised an eyebrow and his head tipped slightly.
“Just curious.” Beth suddenly had the feeling that she didn’t want to know.
After a few moments, he said, “I was a pirate for a long time.”
Beth’s eyebrows shot up. “No way.”
He shrugged. “I was just something I enjoyed.”
“Plundering, pillaging and marauding?”
He shrugged again. “It was interesting.”
