{Chapter Six} Oh-KayMature

{Chapter Six} Oh-kay

Okay, first I go on an insane date. Second, my boyfriend's black eyes turned hazel, then black again. And finally third, I just had a vision from a past life.

How all of this connects, I haven't the slightest idea.

I just know that something's completely wrong with me.

Allixander led me down the hallyways of our school while the curious gaze of strangers who wouldn't have noticed me if I screamed in front of them while jumping up and down looked to me as if I was a Goddess. All the attention was kind of annoying, but now it just felt insignificant.

I had a lot of figuring out to do, and if I was going to do it I was going to have to get some answers first. So I did what any person who thought they were going insane would do.

I walked right up to the most popular girl in school, motor-mouth Dakota, and said, "Hey Dakota, can you tell me what color Allixander's eyes are?"

She froze.

Everyone, including Allixander, froze.

The enitire hallway was dead silent.

After a moment of the are-you-completly-insane glare from Dakota and just about everyone else in the hallway, she finally spoke. "Why would you want to know that?"

"I already know, but then again, Allixander's eyes look a lot different to me than they do to you. I just want to be sure that we're all on the same page here." She shoots me a look that tells me she doesn't believe it. "Also, I think I might be going color blind. To me they just look black." She smiles at the reply, obviously happy with the answer.

"Hazel." She says in finality. So I wasn't going crazy! But that still doesn't explain why his eyes seem black to me. "A really bright hazel in fact, almost golden." She smiles a flirty smile in Allixander's direction, but he's not looking at her - he's looking at me.

"Thank you," I say. "That's the color I thought they were." I pull Allixander away, trying to head toward English, but failing at the feel of his gaze.

Then something clicks.

I stop in front of the door, and look toward Allixander.

"You knew, didn't you?" He nodds, and lets go of my hand. The shock of his touch slowly fades, but the intensity of his gaze wraps around me like a soft blanket. "So what do my eyes look like to you?"

He looks at me, carressing me with his gaze, and - so fast I barely had time to react - pulls me closer to him. He wrapped his arms around my waist, and held me there tightly without giving me a chance to move or wriggle free.

"You have the most beautiful eyes on the planet." He says, his voice only at a whisper. "To me, most of the time, they look like a never-ending color wheel, sparkling like rainbows, shining like jewels. But, whenever I get a chance to switch off my shield, they seem like a endless sea of light brown." The words were sweet enough to be poetry. No teenage boy on the planet would ever compliment his girlfriend that way. No boy except for Allixander.

I know that I love him, and he loves - wait a minute. Shield?

"You have so much to learn. I really couldn't believe it when you said my eyes looked black - I could already feel myself starting to panic. But now that I know it's true, I have to teach you how to control your powers."

POWERS?! Oh-kay. I'm literally freaking out. Did he just say I have powers?

I can't believe it, won't believe it. But I fail to assert myself under his gaze.

"Trust me, you will find me the most excellent teacher." He smiles that crooked smirk that I love, and leans in to kiss me.

My head screams at me, telling me to refuse. But my heart is agrees with what he's saying. I want to refuse, but then I look into his eyes.

His golden eyes.

So beautiful and endless it's like I jumped straight into them. He inclines his head, and his lips meet mine.

It was a lot more powerful than last time. The static was stronger, the fire was felt like it was literally burning me, and that something I couldn't really identify pulled me to him. I was completely powerless under his arms as he molded me to him in a soul smelting kiss, sweeping the breath out of me, and causing me only to want him more.

A lot more.

He let me go, all to soon, and looked at me with his blacker than the night sky eyes. I held hisgaze for a while, and almost got to say something before he held his hand up and stopped me.

"Trust me, baby, I will give you more. More than that if you want. But first I have to tell you what we are, and the new job we'll soon be getting." He smiled, and I gasped at the edge that entered his voice. "All you have to do is trust me."

The End
