Bitter Shoe

One day a young man

in a bitter shoe

Warmed in a coat of resentments

Blind from all he knew

Asked of the preacher man

A lament tried and true:

"Tell me my Pious friend,

what has God done for you?"!

The preacher man a little hurt

Upon tieing his shoe lace

Retorted out a graceous reply

From a gentle smiling face

What has God done for me

You've come to ask in bitter shoe

"Well he has given me eyes to see

What he yearns to give to you"?
