The room erupted in smoke. The Microbot was lying on the ground, fried. The examination had just started and the examining Microbot had just been near 9051’s circuitry when the explosion had happened. And it had originated from 9051, while CHARbot had looked on, shocked and convinced that 9051’s circuits were damaged. He would have to be sent to the Circuit Repair Facility. The CRF was the robot equivalent of an asylum, where robots with damaged circuits were kept under surveillance, their circuit or program errors monitored and rectified. CHARbot stunned 9051 and had him sent to the CRF.

When 9051 was revived, he found himself in a very secure location inside the CRF from where even CHARbot himself couldn’t escape. Then 9051 began to think.
