"Look," Ecklund said, "honestly, I don't know if these guys are still alive or not, but if they are I wanna do everything I can to get them back as quickly as possible. And we just don't have the time to do research. The time for subtlety and subterfuge is over. We have to be more, um..."
"Proactive?" Anna suggested with a smirk.
"Yes! Exactly! Proactive."
"Well that's good because subtlety isn't really our thing anyways."
"I know, and it pains me to say this, but as much as I abhor your methods, your success ratio is off the charts. I don't care how you do it -- in fact I'm pretty sure I don't want to know -- but I would do anything to get those men back."
"So basically what you're saying is," Jenny surmised, "it'll be the two of us versus the Mafia."
"Strictly speaking, this isn't a black ops kind of thing; we didn't have enough time to create deniability. I don't care. You will have the full support of as many field agents as I can spare."
"To do what exactly?"
Ecklund rubbed his mouth. He didn't want to say it openly, but the girls were pressing him for the truth. And it was precisely how he felt, "To kick some ass."
