24th March

Anyone with half a gram of sense can tell that Eleanor’s definitely on drugs. I locked Elle in her room properly, including padlocking the window and probably breaking a dozen health and safety rules (but who cares in your own home? The whole lot is stupid). It has to be done.

Neither Kate nor I can see a way out, but we both know that the pull of her addictions with probably motivate Eleanor to find one. She always was a bit of an escape artist.

Kate told me that she told her youth leader about Elle, and that they were praying for her. I was angry at first, but when I thought about it I was grateful. I don’t want too many people to know, although it’s bound to get out sooner of later, but prayer is what we need right now. Only our God can help her now.

The End
