New year’s promise

This was my new year's promise to myself, my great resolution, and it was, uhh... far from the ideal I had imagined.

The rewards of the program were clear to see, the more experienced looking people in the room seemed a great deal more calm and flexible than I, but there wasn't any nice music - there wasn't any music at all - and the atmosphere was almost office-like in some ways. I had imagined yellow people in red robes shuffling about gracefully while beautiful contortionists drank hot tea from a cup on the floor while spinning four hoola-hoops with their four nimble limbs.

But this wasn't that. I set my purple mat on the ground and, uh...
