alone and waiting for surgery

I sit on the steel bed, waiting for my fate.

I watch the doctors rushing by in a hurry, as I sat alone in a small patient's room.

It was lonely and deserting as I heard echoes bouncing off the walls.

The doctors looked at me with eyes that were piercing through me while they examined me.

I felt scared as they told me I was next in turn for surgery.

I nodded and I was quiet as a mouse, as they ushered me in to the surgery room, and I lay down on a bed as cold as steel.

Lying on the bed, I looked around and I saw through the window, my mom waving at me.

I smiled going to sleep starting my surgery.
