'Oh how rude of me,' Mari giggled, a sweet sound that made Angels stomach lurch, 'this is my fiance, Kenta.'
Kenta gave Angel a small wave before turning back to Mari, 'I don't remember you consulting me about this.'
'I didn't,' Mari replied, 'I hope you can understand her situation and allow her to stay at the house.'
Angel blushed, a happy feeling grew in her heart as Mari covered for her. Kenta tossed Angel a doubtful look, before sighing and nodding.
'I am just going to buy your painting, I shall be back shortly.' He said in a slightly tight voice. Kenta turned on his heel and walked in the other direction. Angel shifted her weight onto her other food and looked up at Mari, who was staring after Kenta with a look of admiration on her face. Angel puffed out her cheeks angrily and looked at her pumps.
'Why would you go to so much trouble for me?' Angel mumbled, blinking back the tears of frustration that were beading up in her eyes.
'Why?' Mari asked, eyebrows raised, 'because your an angel, and I've always wanted one.'
Angel felt her heart lift instantly, and she looked up at Mari with a sheepish grin plastered on her face. Mari gave a small laugh and patted Angels shoulder. Angel blushed in response to the friendly action, Mari's simple touch sent shots of desire to Angels mind. Angel bit her lip and tried her very best not to give into these selfish thoughts.
Mari wanted her!
'The painting will be delivered to our house next week. Now then, shall we get going?' Kenta said as he abruptly returned, and, in Angels opinion, ruin the mood. They would surely be better off without such a man. But the way Mari looked at Kenta made Angel reluctant to force them apart, she would get Mari with her own power, surely.
They knew each other in another lifetime, or maybe even this one.
