April 2037

"Mooooooom!"
"Yes?" I yell.
"What's this,  Mom?" Hannah asks as she hands me a really familiar looking notebook. I open it to the first page, smiling at the old handwriting on it.
"Oh, it's my old highschool journal...well highschool to college journal to be exact. Where did you find this?" I asked her.

"I was snooping around the basement, I was hoping to find my old magazines but I guess I got distracted again." She chuckled, but then her expression turned into wonder.

"Mom, what were you like in highschool? did you have a lot of boyfriends before you met dad?" She asked suddenly.
I smiled at her. "Well, I didn't have a lot of boyfriends when I met your father. I had none actually." I told her.

"Mom, please. You're a huge fashion icon not to mention you're an expert in..I don't know...everything! How can you NOT have a boyfriend?" She said.
"Well, since we have this here, I'm going to tell you the story of me, when I was your age, building up to the point of how I met your dad," And I mentally laughed at what I said, because I just remembered the old show I used to love back in highschool.

"Okay, then but I'm going to get some food. I have a feeling this will be a long but interesting story," she said as she ran to the kitchen. SHe came back 5 minutes later with an enormous pile of food.

"Okay, I'm ready." She says.
"But to turn it a little more fun, I'm going to change everyone's names so you have to guess which one of the people I talk to you about is your dad," Yet another reference to a favorite movie of mine back in highschool.
"I accept that challenge!" She says enthusiastically.

I chuckle as I turned the page to the part where it really began, June of 2009.
