After getting some initial feedback on Abhaya Draft1, I started to write an alternate plot in which I hope to improve the characterization and maintain character consistency unlike the plot 1 :)

I want to work on the characterization of the antagonists like Subandhu and Veerabahu. I realized that the draft one has demonized the above without subsatantial causes. A proper characterization also required a deeper research into the Mahabharata which is the base epic for this fiction. The Socio-political scenarios in the epic have a substantial influence on the plot and characters of Abhaya.

Readers are welcome to give their feedback after reading the original work and this working draft. Of course the plot will have some significant changes. Hope to keep you entertained as well as hooked :)

Author guidance for This story

I have attempted to construct a historical (mythological) love epic between the Protagonist Abhaya, a princess of a small province and Krishna Vaasudeva, the celebrated Lord of Dwaraka. It is a fictitious set up involving the celebrated deity of India who champions the virtuous.

This is a story which has been evolving in my heart since my teens. I realized that the plot is inspired from a famed work called Manonmani, a story which I had read in childhood. I expect the length of this story to go really long ;)

Characters (fictional) :

Abhaya - The princess of Anagha puri, imagined to have been located on the borders of modern Madhya pradesh and Gujarat

Dharma Sena : The King of Anagha and father of Abhaya

Vikram : An orphaned boy, adopted by King Dharma Sena

Jayanti : The chief attendant and best friend of Abhaya; love interest of Vikram

Veerabahu : The commander of Anagha, aspirant to the throne.

Characters (Historical)
Krishna Vaasudeva - The Lord of Saurashtra (modern Gujarat), hailed as the avtar of Lord Vishnu

Vinda and Anuvinda - The twin princes of Avanti (Modern Madhya Pradesh) who alighn themselves against the forces of Pandavas and Krishna.

Mitravinda - The sister of Vinda and Anuvinda, princess of Avanthi
