Heat/ Life

The sun scorches skin at the speed of light.

Ants circle fresh blood drops in the desert.

A lush swamp cloaks

the loud bird, with one foot a soak,

as the inconspicuous alligator stalks by water cover.

Bear breaths billow, in the twilight of may,

expelling the heat from within

the pines of a northern forest

feel the sensation of steam tendrils twirling in and about their long,

vertical, trunks.

The End
