The gruff man's face scrunched up in what could best be described as a constipated expression.
He growled out some vaguely English words.
"Are you trying to piss me off, lady? That's a photograph of you isn't it?"
I sighed. I was tired of having to explain this over and over again.
"No, it's not. That's my twin sister, Agatha. She's been missing for 12 hours. The cops aren't going to look for her till its been 4 times that, or I rustle up my inbred cousins in Washington. So have you seen her?"

To do Eagle Tattoo credit, he didn't break my face immediately. He first thought about it a little. Seemed like hard work.
He growled again, this time it sounded like pig Latin, but then who am I to judge? I didn't even know basic German.
"Look, I wish I could help you, ma'am. But I ain't never seen this woman before. Well, technically, I seed...sawed...I saw you just now, and that's the dang closest thing I've seen to the photo. Why you looking for her here anyway? Ain't never seen a woman around here."
My counterpart came forward to face Eagle Tattoo. "That information is on a need-to-know basis. And you don't need to know."
