Toasties

But there's something else that goes with cheese

That makes me sit up and howl; yes please!

Two slices of white, hot buttered toast

Placed carefully under the grill to roast

With cheese on top and a splash of sauce

That's got to be tomato of course!

A toasty sandwich, that starts with a crunch

But then when you begin to munch

Cheese leaks in dribbles down your chin

Your fingers, clothes and everything.

If my toaster broke what would I do?

I love it, definitely more than you.

Hey wait a sec, I take it back!

I don't want you to go and pack!

Oh well, I don't think I really mind

Girls are everywhere to find

But a perfect toastie is very rare

And I'm not inclined to share!
