...ed. Bree was dancing with a bunch of friends, including Nicks girlfriend. We had just been staring at each other, ignoring the rest. "Sure, just let me finish my drink," He said and smiled. I started to put on my jacket, grabbed my cigarettes and replied, "I will meet you outside." I walked out of the door and pushed my body against the wall. I looked up to the ceiling as the butterflies tickled my chest. Something about our chemistry was undeniable. We had barely spoken all night, and yet, we both felt connected. This I was sure of. Nick exited the apartment and started to walk down the stairs. I followed. We stood outside the apartment doors for over an hour, discussing our beliefs, our experiences and our desires. In every moment, every word I could feel the tension between us build. Flashing images of our lips meeting would flood my brain for months afterwards. If only, I didn't have a girlfriend. If only, he didn't have a girlfriend. It would be us. We would be one.
